Heat Pump

A heat pump transfers heat from a cooler area to a warmer area using mechanical energy, similar to a refrigerator working in reverse. It can pull heat from the air, ground, or water and move it inside a home or building for heating purposes, or it can extract heat from indoors and release it outside for cooling. Heat pumps are highly efficient because they simply move heat rather than generate it by burning fuel.
